Spring is coming :)

Finally the spring arrived also here in Finland ...

The sun is shining since the early morning and it just feels so good to have sun the whole day! :) I´ll take a walk around 5 o´clock to town, since I need to buy some things and I´ll take photos during my walk, if the sun is then still shining and post them here since it´s such a wonderful day!

You cannot imagine how good it feels to see sun! The winter wasn´t bad at all here, I imagined it much worse than it was in the end, but of course I´m longing for spring too. ;)

Yesterday I started with dying my hair ... Yes, I started. It´ll take a while until I have reached that color I want to have, because I want to have my own natural color back and I dyed it yesterday from black to brown, but unfortunately as always, when you are dying it from black with blonde, you have some parts which are still very very dark, so I need to dye again, especially those dark parts. Let´s see how it´ll look like today´s evening or tomorrow then.

Back

This week is almost over and it passed by so fast! I came back on Sunday´s afternoon from my weekend trip to Joensuu and Kitee and I haven´t found the time to write in here earlier.

The weekend was really nice, I have been on two concerts of Kotiteollisuus, which played in Joensuu´s Kerubi and the concerts were amazing! Usually I don´t listen so often to that band but I think everyone should try to see them live if you like rock music at least a bit. ;)

I´ll post some photos later and I hope you´ll enjoy your day today! Here the sun is shining since 7 o´clock in the morning, I´m sitting here, drinking a cup of coffee and listening to Within Temptation´s new song "Sinéad". :-)

Delta Goodrem

As you have maybe gotten to know, one of my favourite artists is the australian singer Delta Goodrem.

She´s such a kind and warm-hearted person, so natural and I love her voice, her lyrics and music.

At the moment I´m listening very often to her songs, old and new ones and I never get bored, so also if you more like rock music or heavy metal, please listen to Delta Goodrem and built then your opinion about her! :)

Tarja covers "Higher Than Hope"

So a little update to Tarja Turunen covering Nightwish´s "Higher Than Hope". For thos who don´t know it still, this song was written by Tuomas for a fan called Marc Brueland, who was from the United States. Marc Brueland was very ill and his family contacted Tuomas Holopainen. Tuomas visited Marc and his family, when he has been in the United States on vacations. Marc was a really big Nightwish fan and so he got the chance to visit a concert of them in Atlanta, United States and he was allowed to watch the whole concert from beside the stage. Nightwish played the song "Walking In The Air" on that concert only for Marc Brueland.

Here you can watch a video of Nightwish performing "Walking In The Air" and Tuomas speaks some words before to Marc Brueland.

A short time later, Marc died. Tuomas has written for him the song "Higher Than Hope" already before, and recorded the song together with Marc, who speaks some words in that song. They released the song on the Once Album. 

Now Tarja is covering "Higher Than Hope" on her solo concerts. What do you think about it? Do you think it´s absolutely ok, don´t you care about, or don´t you like it? Let me know!

I mean, of course she covers also Nightwish songs since she has been with the band for more than 10 years, but is it right, to cover THIS song?

Good news :-)

I have just gotten an e-mail and I´m so happy about that! :-) When I´ll be in Germany from the end of April one week, I´ll do something ... I have decided to do that, finally after loooooong time of thinking but I´m so afraid of.

I´ll have to take much pain over me, that´s what I can say. I´m not afraid of the pain itself but I´m afraid that I have to break up the "whole-thing".

You can guess of course, what I´ll do. ;-)

Tomorrow morning it´s going to Oulu and on Friday´s midday to Pännäinen to my dear friend. :-)

Short update from Rovaniemi

I´m actually in Rovaniemi and don´t have much time to write in here... We just came back from ice fishing, driving by the snow mobile and eating sausages we have made over the fire.

I don´t know yet when I´ll take the train to Oulu, tomorrow or on thursday in the morning. Friday I´ll leave to Pännäinen (in the near of Vaasa) and I´ll come back on Sunday in the late evening.

I´m so sorry for Anette Olzon, which has to stay at home because of her broken ribs. :(

I have just seen that Tarja Turunen has covered "Higher Than Hope", what do you think about that?

Hej and a little update since I haven´t written anything today until now ...

Then I want to tell that it could be that I won´t write so much in the next days since I´ll leave for Rovaniemi tomorrow, on Thursday to Oulu and on Friday to Vaasa. But I´ll post every now and then and of course I´ll take a lot of photos to post in here. :-)

I have read that Anette is feeling a bit better already, but she won´t fly to Finland today. Let´s hope, she´ll feel better soon and that she can fly to Finland in the nearest time to record the vocals for the new Nightwish album "Imaginarium"! :-)

Tiger

I have started today with the Tiger-picture and I have started in the middle area of the picture, with the head of the tiger. I was drawing until a couple of minutes ago, for probably 3 hours or even a bit more and it looks already amazing! Tomorrow I´ll try to finnish the middle area and then I´ll post a picture of it! :-)

Now I´ll rest a bit, watch German TV Live-Stream on the internet, and maybe watch my favourite serie on DVD later.

Poor Anette! :-(

Yesterday was a really bad day for the dear Anette! :( She and her son Nemo had an accident in her home, Nemo just has some scratches on his head, but he´s feeling good so far but Anette had so much pain that she went 2,5 after the accident in the hospital and there they have seen that her ribs are broken! :( You cannot do anything when the ribs are broken, you just can wait and rest until all is fine again. She just felt over a toy from Nemo which was lying on the floor and unfortunately she felt down so bad and exactly on her ribs ... :-(

I don´t know if Anette will fly to Finland as planned, I hope so at least, but this time it´s just about her healthy and I hope she´ll feel better soon again!

This two pictures are for the lovely Catherina since she wanted to see them and I took fast a photo of every picture. :-)

This one with the tiger is I think 50 x 40 cm, so quite big and the other one with the wolves is probably the same size as the one with the tiger but it has aprox. 50 cm in the high and 40 cm in the length, so the opposite than the one with the tiger, which has aprox. 50 cm in the length and 40 cm in the high.

I´m sorry for flash (light) in both pictures but since it´s quite dark I needed to use the flash when taking a photo of those pictures.

The picture with the tiger is called "Indien Bengal-Tiger" and the one with the wolves "Wild & Free Wolves"!

We have ordered all three pictures from http://www.amazon.de/ but it´s a german website where you can order all different things. From CDs and DVDs to those pictures, books, etc so I don´t know if it´s possible to order it from abroud. But if you want to find it you´ll find it for sure when you search for it on http://www.google.com/ . Just search for "Drawing by numbers" or "Painting by numbers" and you´ll find a lot of nice motives in all sizes and categories. But remember it takes a lot of time, and of course the bigger the picture is, the most work you´ll have. ;-)

I´ll post of course the pictures when they are ready, but actually I haven´t started with one of them yet. Let´s see when I´ll have time to start and when the first one of both will be ready. :-) Probably in some years ... No joke! But it´ll take some weeks for sure.

It´s (almost) ready! :-)

Sorry that I post it now, a bit later than promised, but it took so long time to do this and in these things I´m a perfectionist so I want that everything is perfect, especially with that picture, I was so obsessed in making it absolutely perfect. But now its almost ready! I have colored all parts and the last thing is to correct some parts and points and then to put some fluid over the picture.

I haven´t drawn it by myself, because I cannot draw! :-) But my lovely aunt has started doing those pictures and I liked it so much that I asked here where to buy it. Then she and my uncle have bought me three of those pictures, one smaller one

(24 x 30 cm) and two very big ones (I don´t know the sizes yet). The first one they have bought for me is this one, and it was a surprise when I came to Germany for one week. They thought I would like it and I do! I love those Victoria Frances pictures! The other two ones I have choosen together with my aunt.

These pictures we are doing are called in German

"Malen nach Zahlen" (=Drawing by numbers) and you have a picture with different fields and on every little and bigger field you can see a number. Then you have a box with colors and on every color you can see a number. And for example if you have a field with number 34, you search the number 34 and draw it out. :-)

It sounds quite easy but it absolutely takes a lot of time to do that because there are a lot of very small fields, just look in the upper part of the picture ... and t ahen of course when you worked so long on it you want to have it perfect. But that´s not so easy since it always happen that you draw a bit out of the field and then you have to correct that of course. It´s not a problem to correct it, also if you have drawn out for example with black color over a red field, since those colors are very very good and cover well! But correcting takes time ... a lot of time! But now it´s finally ready and I´m so happy about it!

When I´ll have a flat in autumn I will hang it on my wall in frames! :-)

Jenni Vartiainen has won 7 Emmas last Saturday at the finnish Emma Gaala. Unfortunately there aren´t any videos of Jenni getting a price on youtube, but I have found the final performance of her at the Emma Gaala in Espoo. It was the end of the show, or at least after that the Emma Gaala which was shown on YLE TV2 has ended.

Jenni performed "En haluu kuolla tänä yönä" (= Don´t want to die this night) of her album Seili with an orchestra. Click here to see the video.

Together We Are One

I have just read Anette Olzon´s Blog and I think she has written some very interesting things. I have been a bit shocked that she had problems with herself quite a long time ago, because for me personally she is a very beautiful woman, good looking and she has a very nice and kind personality. I admired her that she has growned up two children, the last one, her son Nemo last summer and she´s still so good looking. If I don´t know that she´ll turn 40 years this year, I would never think that. She looks very young and fresh and is a moderne young mother. :-)

But I know that feeling beeing not accepted in schools or by other people and it hurts really much. Also if you try to stand strong and ignore all of those people. But inside you´ll never ignore it. You´ll always think about it and it´ll hurt yourself. The worse thing was, that I have never talked about this to other friends or family members, since I felt ashamed.

But usually it´s not important how we look like, if we are thin or fat, have many curves or less, how we dress, and so on. Everyone has her/his own character inside, which is most important than anything else! And everyone has the right to be as she or her wants to be! Think always that it´s YOUR body and YOUR life!

I have found a song called "Together We Are One" from the beautiful Delta Goodrem and I think this song is perfect for this theme here, since I think too, that together we are one and that we should put all our differences behind us.
